Justin Sun Unlocks 5,000 stETH, Raising Concerns About Ethereum Selling Pressure
Tron founder Justin Sun recently unlocked 5,000 stETH for the first time in over a year, raising concerns about potential selling pressure on the Ethereum ecosystem. According to on-chain data, the transaction occurred at an address associated with Sun and involved unlocking assets worth approximately $12.3 million.
The transaction took place via Lido, a liquid staking protocol that allows users to stake their Ethereum assets and receive stETH in return. The 5,000 stETH unlocked by Sun marked his first redemption of this amount since July 18, 2025.
At the time of the transaction, the value of the assets was estimated at $12.3 million. However, with the current price of Ethereum, the total value is significantly higher. The size of Justin Sun's stETH portfolio remains substantial, with approximately 243,000 stETH on-chain, valued at around $600 million.
