Kabosu Owner Disavows Fake Cate Tokens
Atsuko Sato, owner of Kabosu, the Shiba Inu dog that inspired Dogecoin, has addressed the CATE token projects circulating in the cryptocurrency market. Sato stated that a post made on his Instagram account was used without permission, and fake tokens were launched using this content, falsely portraying him as associated with them.
The owner of Kabosu expressed regret over some high-follower accounts on the X platform contributing to the spread of these posts. He clarified that Own The Doge is the only project he has officially authorized to manage intellectual property rights, including the iconic Doge NFT and the $DOG token.
Sato also mentioned that he and the Own The Doge team launched the COCORO token on the Base network in 2025. He emphasized that the only cryptocurrency projects officially affiliated with him are $DOG and COCORO.
