Kaiko Secures $110M from S&P Global for Onchain Financial Infrastructure
S&P Global has led a significant investment in Kaiko, expanding its Series B funding to $110 million. The Paris-based crypto market data provider is using this capital to grow its core digital asset market data business and develop onchain financial infrastructure.
Kaiko's CEO Ambre Soubiran stated that the investors participating in the round span several key areas of digital asset markets, including pricing, trading, capital allocation, and blockchain development. They will serve as partners in building infrastructure for institutional onchain finance.
The funding follows a series of moves by Kaiko to expand its institutional data business. The company recently acquired Cometh, an onchain infrastructure provider regulated under the EU's MiCA regulations. It also partnered with Bloomberg to bring licensed financial data onchain and acquired Amberdata, a US digital asset data provider.
This investment comes as major US market operators and financial infrastructure firms expand their use of blockchain technology for trading, settlement, and collateral management.
