Kalshi Lands $1.12 Billion in Private Stock Offering, Eyes Additional Funding
Kalshi, a US-based prediction market platform regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), has raised $1.12 billion in a private stock offering.
The funding round, initiated in April and completed on August 25, marks one of the largest capital raises in the prediction market sector. The company's valuation surged to $22 billion after raising $1 billion in a Series F round led by Coatue in May.
Kalshi allows users to trade on the outcomes of real-world events, from economic indicators to political elections, making it distinct from cryptocurrency-based platforms.
