Kamino Taps Fintech Veteran Michael Weisz as New CEO

Kamino has appointed Michael Weisz as its new CEO for US and institutional expansion. Weisz, who joins Kamino on September 15th, brings over two decades of experience in fintech and private markets to the role.

Kamino is a Solana lending protocol with $1.352 billion in total value locked (TVL) and $1.022 billion in active loans, according to DefiLlama. The protocol has been growing rapidly, with its TVL increasing by 29.9% over the previous 30 days.

Weisz sees Kamino as a key player in providing access, distribution, and liquidity for assets on-chain. In his introduction, he highlighted that tokenization is no longer the challenge, but rather what comes after, liquidity, credit, distribution, and infrastructure.
