Kansas Jayhawks Integrate XRP Branding into College Football Uniforms
The Kansas Jayhawks college football team has brought attention to the cryptocurrency XRP after their dominant start to the 2026 season. In their season opener on September 4, they defeated Long Island University with a score of 51-6. The official Kansas Football account shared a video from the game that mentioned XRP.
The Jayhawks' victory was just one part of their partnership with Ripple, which was announced in July. As part of this agreement, XRP branding has been integrated into the university's sports branding. This includes XRP jersey patches being featured on uniforms across all Kansas Athletics teams.
Ripple's CEO Brad Garlinghouse is a Kansas alumnus and native of Topeka, Kansas. The partnership between Ripple and Kansas goes beyond just placing the XRP logo on jerseys. Ripple will also support financial and technology education programs for Kansas student-athletes and the wider campus community.
