Katie Price Seeks Divorce After Husband's $50M Crypto Claim Unravels
British reality TV star Katie Price is seeking to divorce her husband Lee Andrews after discovering that his claimed $50 million crypto fortune was an exaggeration. A wallet he presented as evidence of his wealth contained a mere £2.22.
Andrews had told Price that he held approximately $50 million in cryptocurrency and would give her access to part of the money. However, when a financial expert accessed the wallet using a recovery phrase provided by Andrews, they found that it had only reached a maximum balance of around $14,490 (approximately £10,720) in March before the funds were transferred out.
The discrepancy between Andrews' claims and reality led to a confrontation with Price through WhatsApp, who subsequently consulted a London divorce lawyer about ending their marriage. The couple's relationship was already under strain due to questions over Andrews' finances and legal problems in Dubai.
