Kazakhstan's Regulated Crypto Market Surges to $10.58 Billion
Kazakhstan's regulated cryptocurrency market has seen significant growth in recent years, with turnover increasing from $320 million in 2023 to $10.58 billion in 2025.
This was announced by Vice Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Gizzat Baitursynov at a government meeting, where he noted that the country currently has 76 licensed crypto miners and five accredited mining pools, with around 470,000 pieces of mining equipment registered.
The regulatory system in place allows authorities to monitor the industry's production indicators, ensure transparency, and secure tax revenues for the state budget. In 2025, the state budget received $50 million in tax revenues from the industry, up from $20.1 million in 2023.
