Keel Shuts Down US Mining Ops Amid AI Pivot
Keel Infrastructure Corp., formerly Bitfarms, has shut down all its US bitcoin mining operations as it prepares to transition into artificial intelligence and high-performance computing data centers.
The company sold a large portion of its Bitcoin holdings, raking in $75 million from the sale of 1,085 BTC, leaving it with 1,861 BTC on its balance sheet.
This move is part of Keel's shift towards providing high-performance computing and AI infrastructure, a pivot seen among many other bitcoin miners due to changing market conditions.
