Danville Police in Kentucky have issued a warning to the public about a Bitcoin scam.

According to the police, individuals have been contacted by scammers claiming to be from the US Department of Homeland Security or other government agencies, threatening arrest unless they pay a fine in Bitcoin.

The scammers are reportedly using fake phone numbers and email addresses that resemble those used by real government agencies.
