Danville Police in Kentucky have issued a warning to the public about a Bitcoin scam.

The police department warned residents of a scam where individuals claim to be representatives of Danville Police or other law enforcement agencies, and offer to send large sums of money in exchange for small fees or personal information.

The scammers allegedly use tactics such as claiming that the victim's Bitcoin wallet is compromised or that they have won a prize, in order to gain the trust of their victims.
