Kenya's Blockchain-Based Credential Verification System Sends AVAX Soaring
Avalanche has seen significant price action after Kenya's National Examinations Council (KNEC) launched a blockchain-based digital credential verification system on the Avalanche network.
The platform, which will store over 30 million education records, is designed to replace slow paper-based authentication procedures with blockchain-backed digital verification.
This represents one of the largest government-backed blockchain deployments announced to date. The rollout covers examination records dating back to 1989 and will issue nearly one million native digital credentials each year starting from the 2025-2026 graduating classes.
The price of AVAX surged over 7% in a day, pushing above $6.88 after trading near $6.40 previously. The token's recent breakout has been supported by buyers, with the market remaining close to the new range near $6.85-$6.90.
