Kenya's Blockchain Ecosystem Sees Record Investment Surge

Kenyan Web3 startups have seen a significant surge in investment in 2025, raising $14 million (about Ksh1.8 billion) in disclosed funding.

This marks the sector's second-highest annual investment total on record and solidifies Kenya's position as East Africa's leading blockchain ecosystem, according to a new report by Hashed Emergent.

The report highlights that Kenyan Web3 startups have collectively raised over $34 million since 2021, with finance-focused ventures accounting for $10 million of the capital raised this year.
