Kenya's Cryptocurrency Market Surges to Over 730,000 Users
Kenya's cryptocurrency market has experienced rapid growth over the past decade.
The number of users rose from just 10,400 in 2017 to an estimated 729,200 in 2024 and 733,300 in 2025, according to Statista.
This growth is attributed to increasing awareness of digital finance among young, tech-savvy Kenyans, as well as growing interest in alternative investments and easier access to cryptocurrency trading platforms.
However, experts caution that cryptocurrencies remain highly volatile and largely unregulated, exposing investors to significant risks.
