Robert Kiyosaki, author of 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' and Bitcoin price bull, is facing a $1.2 billion debt figure linked to his real-estate investments. According to Kim Kiyosaki, his former wife and business partner, the debt is associated with a portfolio of around 1,500 apartment units.

The New York Post reports that this figure should not be interpreted as money Kiyosaki personally owes. His share of the liabilities could be between $30 million and $60 million, according to Vanity Fair estimates.

Kiyosaki's strategy is to borrow against the equity without selling the underlying assets. The borrowed money can then be used to acquire additional assets or provide liquidity.

The 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' author has been a vocal advocate for Bitcoin, predicting prices that have seemed ambitious compared to prevailing market prices. In June 2024, he predicted BTC could reach $350,000 by August 25. He later set a broad 2025 target of between $175,000 and $350,000 and even predicted that Bitcoin would eventually surpass $1 million.
