Korean Crypto Prices Ease, but Reverse Kimchi Premium Persists
South Korean Bitcoin prices have narrowed their gap with global markets, easing from a -0.38% discount to -0.29% on August 8.
This 'reverse kimchi premium' reflects subdued local demand or capital flow constraints in the country's tightly regulated crypto market.
Ethereum also contracted its reverse kimchi premium to -0.23%, while Solana and XRP saw modest changes, with Solana at -0.42% and XRP at -0.30%
However, some altcoins like Dogecoin showed a significant shift, shrinking its discount from -0.42% to -0.18%
