The Kospi ended July on a high note, rebounding sharply from its recent correction. However, the Bitcoin price remained remarkably steady despite several major headlines.

South Korean equities led the way, with semiconductor stocks driving the rally after weeks of heavy selling pressure.

Bitcoin, on the other hand, hovered around $64,300, showing little interest in politics or market swings. The cryptocurrency's price barely reacted to a major security incident involving Coldcard hardware wallets, where an attacker exploited a flaw affecting older devices and drained 594 BTC from around 500 single-signature wallets.

The vulnerability reportedly dated back to firmware version 4.0.1, which had a weakness in random number generation making some wallet seeds predictable.
