Kraken and VerifiedX Team Up on Programmable Bitcoin Custody

Kraken Institutional and VerifiedX have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to add vBTC to Kraken's qualified custody solution. This move could potentially open up a regulated route for institutions to hold and use programmable Bitcoin.

vBTC is fully backed by native Bitcoin, according to VerifiedX, and can be redeemed for BTC through its protocol. The asset also supports settlement, programmable vaults, and on-chain financial applications.
