Kraken Brings 7,000+ US Stocks to EEA, Commission-Free Trading
Kraken, the popular cryptocurrency exchange, has expanded its services to include over 7,000 U.S.-listed stocks in the European Economic Area (EEA), allowing customers to trade traditional shares alongside cryptocurrencies and tokenized equities. The service is available through Kraken Pro on desktop and mobile as well as the Kraken mobile app.
The expansion follows a limited introduction in Germany, the Netherlands, and France before becoming available across EEA member countries. Eligible customers can access U.S.-listed shares without commissions, subject to applicable terms.
Kraken's xStocks, which provide tokenized versions of publicly listed equities, have generated over $38 billion in total transaction volume since their introduction in June 2025. The company plans to take the combined equities and tokenized-equity offering into additional markets in the coming months.
The expansion gives Kraken customers two different ways to gain exposure to many of the same companies without moving funds between separate investment and crypto platforms. Traditional shares provide conventional securities ownership, while xStocks provide blockchain-based representations designed for onchain use.
