Kraken Brings 7,000+ US Stocks to European Customers

Kraken has launched a new service in Europe that allows customers to access over 7,000 US-listed stocks through their mobile apps and Kraken Pro.

The conventional-equity service is provided by Payward Europe Digital Solutions (CY) Limited, which is listed in the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission register as an authorised investment firm under licence number 342/17.

This means that eligible EEA customers can now buy and sell US stocks without having to move money from one exchange to another. The platform also offers tokenized versions of these stocks, known as xStocks, which can be used for trading and have the added benefit of being transferable through blockchain networks.

However, it's essential to note that conventional shares and tokenized xStocks are not interchangeable. While they may track the same company's price, ownership rights and dividends are handled differently in each case.
