Kraken Brings US Stocks Trading to European Customers
Kraken has launched US-listed stock trading for customers in the European Economic Area (EEA), expanding its services beyond digital assets.
The move comes through Kraken's Cyprus-based, CySEC-licensed entity, Payward Europe Digital Solutions (CY) Limited, which enables eligible EEA customers to access over 7,000 US stocks commission-free within a regulated framework.
This offering is unique in that it brings together traditional US stocks and tokenized versions of those same assets within a single trading environment. xStocks, a feature allowing users to hold tokenized equivalents of US-listed equities, has seen over $38 billion in total transaction volume since its launch.
Kraken's Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Greenberg, stated that 'investing is becoming inherently multi-asset,' and this launch reflects the company's vision for a globally accessible, multi-asset investing platform.
