Kraken Delisting Wave Hits 56 Cryptocurrencies Across Three Cycles
Kraken Exchange is delisting 56 cryptocurrencies across three cycles in parallel, forcing investors to withdraw their balances before the given deadlines or face liquidation. The first withdrawal deadline falls on August 27, 2026 at 14:00 UTC, affecting 21 tokens from the May cycle. These assets include AURA, BIT, BOND, BSX, FARM, GARI, K, KET, KINTO, LOBO, MOON, MV, NYM, RAIIN, RHEA, SAROS, SDN, SPC, SPICE, TEA, and TEER.
Once the withdrawal deadline has passed, Kraken will automatically sell any remaining balances between September 1-5 for assets from the May cycle. The exchange warns that liquidation prices could fall significantly due to limited or inactive markets, resulting in minimal or zero proceeds for investors.
The delisting process consists of three stages: trading halt, withdrawal deadline, and forced liquidation. Kraken's internal performance and compliance standards are cited as the reason for delisting, not a supervisory requirement. The exchange has already completed one cycle with seven assets from the April cycle, which ended on August 7.
