Kraken Expands Platform to Include 7,000+ US-Listed Stocks
Kraken, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has expanded its services to include over 7,000 US-listed stocks for eligible European Economic Area (EEA) customers. This move brings traditional shares and tokenized equities together in a single platform.
Eligible customers can now trade both stocks and crypto assets through a single account, with no fees applicable under certain conditions. The introduction of these new US stocks is part of Kraken's strategy to provide a seamless experience for traders, eliminating the need to switch between different exchanges.
The exchange has also highlighted its capacity to hold traditional U.S. stocks alongside 700+ xStocks, which are tokenized shares backed by their underlying assets. xStocks have seen an aggregate transaction volume exceeding $38 billion since their introduction, demonstrating their growing importance in Kraken's multi-asset approach.
