Kraken Owner Payward Leverages Anthropic's Cutting-Edge AI for Enhanced Crypto Security Scanning
Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, has joined Anthropic's Project Glasswing security initiative. This partnership grants Payward access to Claude Mythos 5, a cutting-edge AI technology designed for defensive cybersecurity operations.
The Claude Mythos 5 system can analyze code at massive scale, detect security weaknesses, and recommend remediation solutions. However, due to its potential dual-use nature in creating security exploits, access to this model is limited to approved organizations.
According to Payward's plans, Mythos 5 will be implemented throughout its operational environments in the near future to perform comprehensive vulnerability assessments. These assessments aim to identify and fix potential security flaws before they can be exploited by attackers.
A spokesperson from Payward explained that a model like Mythos 5 can read every line of code at machine scale, allowing them to find vulnerabilities before anyone can build an exploit. However, all AI-identified security issues will undergo human verification before being confirmed as legitimate vulnerabilities.
