Kraken Parent Company Reports Revenue Growth Despite Trading Decline

Share

Kraken's parent company, Payward, has reported significant growth in its revenue despite a decline in trading volume. The company's adjusted revenue reached $508 million for the second quarter of 2026, marking a 17% increase from the previous year.

This growth can be attributed to the diversification of revenue streams beyond spot cryptocurrency trading fees. Payward now generates a larger share of its income from asset-based and other financial products, which grew from 55% of total revenue in Q2 2025 to 60% in Q2 2026.

The platform's assets totaled $40 billion, with real assets climbing 48% year over year to $65 billion. Funded accounts increased by 42% to 6.6 million, with Europe seeing the biggest growth following MiCA authorization.
