Kraken Unlocks Over 7,000 US Stocks for Eligible EEA Clients
Kraken has expanded access to over 7,000 US stocks for eligible European Economic Area (EEA) clients. This move comes as part of its MiFID approval and allows clients to trade these stocks with no trading commission, excluding other possible fees.
Additionally, Kraken has added over 700 xStocks and more than 600 crypto-assets to the platform, bringing traditional stocks, tokenized securities, and digital assets under a single regulated account. This integration maintains distinct regulatory frameworks for each asset class.
Mark Greenberg, Chief Commercial Officer of Payward and Head of Payward Services, noted that this launch eliminates artificial distinctions between traditional and tokenized formats of the same asset. Clients can now choose how they access the same underlying exposure without moving capital or changing platforms.
