Kraken Unveils Ukrainian Trading Tournament with $11,200 Prize Pool

The cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has announced the launch of a special 'Independence Tournament' for Ukrainian traders, timed to coincide with Ukraine's Independence Day on August 24. The event will run from August 13 to September 13, 2026, giving participants the chance to compete for a substantial prize pool of $11,200.

The competition is open exclusively to Ukrainian users of the Kraken platform who have registered before the start of trade submissions. To participate in the national ranking, traders must achieve a qualified profit of at least $1 on trading pairs with USD, similar to the global futures tournaments for Bitcoin and gold that will take place simultaneously.

A unique feature of the 'Independence Tournament' is a separate ranking for Ukrainian participants, allowing them to compete specifically within their community. The total prize pool of $11,200 will be distributed as follows: $10,000 USDG will be awarded to the top 43 traders, and an additional $1,200 USDG will be evenly distributed among all other participants who meet the minimum competition requirements.
