Kraken Whales Pull $186M from Exchange as Scarcity Metrics Remain Strong
Two major Bitcoin transactions have taken place on Kraken, totaling 2,957 BTC worth approximately $186.6 million. The first transfer moved 1,800 BTC valued at $113.56 million, while the second transferred 1,157 BTC worth $73.06 million.
The withdrawals from Kraken have historically been associated with large investors pulling their coins out of exchange custody, reducing immediately available trading supply rather than preparing assets for liquidation.
This has revived discussion around institutional accumulation and whether a tightening of exchange balances could support Bitcoin's next directional move.
Derivatives positioning on Binance also remains bullish, with top trader accounts recording 69.33% long positions against 30.67% shorts, producing a long-to-short ratio of 2.26 over the previous 24 hours.
