Kraken's Optimism Superchain Rollup Ink Gets Uniswap Support
Kraken's Optimism Superchain rollup, Ink, has finally received support from Uniswap Labs, allowing traders to swap and supply liquidity on the platform.
Traders can now access Ink through Uniswap v2, v3, and v4, after almost two years since the chain's first V3 contracts were deployed in December 2024.
The integration has been a long time coming, with GitHub issues dating back to December 2025 highlighting the need for frontend support. However, the API piece of the rollout stretches beyond the front end, putting Ink quotes anywhere that plumbing is already wired in.
Value locked on Ink climbed from $7 million in October 2025 to roughly $450 million by early 2026, driven largely by two applications: Nado and Tydro. The latter, a white-label deployment of Aave v3, backed by the Aave DAO, saw combined app revenue rise from $500,000 in October to $5.77 million in January 2026.
Kraken received 25 million OP (approximately $42.5 million) from the Optimism Foundation to build the chain, with engineering work accounting for five million of that amount. The exchange has upwards of 10 million users and sees Ink as a route to opening DeFi up to a broader audience.
Ink's supply is capped at 1 billion, and the token has no say over the rollup. Governance and revenue sharing are retained by the Optimism Collective, allowing holders to direct incentives toward protocols that deploy on Ink.
