Kraken's Parent Payward Delays IPO to Q2 2027 Amid Cryptocurrency Market Volatility
Kraken's parent company Payward has pushed back its initial public offering (IPO) plans to the second quarter of 2027, according to a recent report. This delay comes after the company initially put its IPO on hold in March 2026 due to market conditions.
Payward reported $508 million in adjusted revenue for the second quarter of 2026, a 17% increase from the same period last year. The company's financial results have shown growth despite the postponed listing.
The delay is not surprising given the current state of the cryptocurrency market. Payward's partnership with London Stock Exchange Group to explore tokenized UK-listed shares may be one factor contributing to the delay, as regulatory approval is still pending.
