Kraken's Seven-Day Withdrawal Delay: What You Need to Know

Kraken, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has been experiencing issues with deposits and withdrawals for select blockchain networks. The issue started on September 4, 2026, at 21:43 UTC and has lasted for seven days.

The affected networks include Akash (AKT), Babylon (BABY), Celestia (TIA), Cosmos (ATOM), dYdX (DYDX), Dymension (DYM), Fetch.ai (FET), Initia (INIT), Injective (INJ), Juno (JUNO), Kava (KAVA), Mantra (MANTRA), Neutron (NTRN), Osmosis (OSMO), Saga (SAGA), Secret Network (SCRT), Sei (SEI), Terra Classic (LUNA), and THORChain (RUNE).

Almost all the affected chains belong to the Cosmos ecosystem, suggesting a shared technical cause. Kraken has not provided any information on the cause of the issue.

An analysis by cryptoticker.io found that nine out of 725 funding services were disrupted as of September 11, 2026. However, this is lower than the initial report of 19 affected networks.

Polkadot (DOT) was also affected on September 11, 2026, but a fix has already been deployed. The issue highlights how quickly a network can become disrupted and how important it is to check the status page for accurate information.
