KSNet Partners with Solana for Blockchain-Based Payment Infrastructure
KSNet, a South Korean payment and settlement company, has partnered with the Solana Foundation to build blockchain-based payment infrastructure for merchants and AI agents.
The memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed on July 30, 2026, launching the KSNet Solana partnership. The deal covers two proof-of-concept projects: linking the Solana Pay standard to KSNet's existing point-of-sale network, and testing x402, a protocol that lets software agents pay automatically without card details or logins.
The first phase of the KSNet Solana pilot centers on Solana Pay. KSNet plans to connect the standard to the merchant systems it has built over 26 years, layering in domestic anti-money laundering checks meant to block irregular fund flows.
