KuCoin Cuts Lending Threshold, Integrates Borrowed Funds with UTA
KuCoin has made significant changes to its institutional lending program by lowering the qualifying external 30-day trading-volume threshold to $10 million USDT from $30 million USDT. This move aims to make borrowing more accessible to newly registered API clients.
The exchange has also integrated borrowed funds into its Unified Trading Account (UTA), allowing eligible clients to manage capital across supported trading products, including Spot, Margin, and Futures. Borrowed funds can be deployed without transfers between separate trading accounts.
According to Alison Qin, Head of KuCoin Institutional & VIP, the integration is intended to give professional market participants more flexible access to liquidity while bringing financing closer to the accounts and products used for trading.
