The ISO/IEC 42001 standard represents the first international standard for AI management systems. It sets out clear requirements for accountable, transparent, and continuously overseen AI systems throughout their lifecycle. KuCoin's certification covers its AIMS, which supports various critical functions across its global digital asset exchange and financial services platform.
KuCoin's CEO, BC Wong, emphasized the importance of responsible AI governance in a rapidly evolving industry. 'AI is becoming a foundational capability of digital financial infrastructure, but greater capability must be matched by greater responsibility,' he said.
