KuCoin Integrates Ondo Tokenized Stocks, Blurring Lines Between TradFi and Crypto

Share

KuCoin has taken another step in its push into real-world asset tokenization by adding Ondo's tokenized stocks to its KuCoin Alpha platform.

The move allows users to hold a token representing shares of major companies, such as Apple or Tesla, directly on-chain and trade them 24/7.

KuCoin sees this integration as more than just a listing, but rather as part of its strategy to become a venue where crypto-native users can interact with traditional financial instruments without leaving the blockchain environment.

The biggest question mark surrounding tokenized stocks is their classification under securities law. Tokenized stocks are legally distinct from DeFi-native tokens and their treatment in key jurisdictions remains unsettled, particularly in the United States.
