KuCoin Sanctions Screening Expands Beyond Direct Counterparties
KuCoin, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges, has implemented new sanctions screening measures to detect and prevent indirect crypto transfers across 17 sanctioned platforms. This policy affects users who may not have directly transacted with these platforms but have connections to them through intermediary service providers.
The affected platforms include Shelbit, Aban Tether, A7 Nigeria, A7 Africa, PilotFinance, Rapira, Aifory Pro, ABCeX, WhiteBird, NoOnecrypto, Tradex, Monease, BitPapa, Exnode, Exnode Pay, EXMO, and HTX (Huobi Global SA).
KuCoin will screen the source of funds, originating and destination addresses, and intermediary service providers for connections to these platforms. Transactions attempted to these platforms may undergo enhanced review or trigger temporary wallet and account restrictions.
Users who repeatedly or seriously violate this policy could face suspension or withdrawal of KuCoin's services from them. HTX, a Justin Sun-linked exchange, is the most consequential name on the list by scale and is already facing similar restrictions elsewhere.
