KuCoin Surpasses Binance In Proof-Of-Reserves Transparency Ranking
KuCoin has outperformed larger rival exchanges in CryptoQuant's annual Exchange Leader report, securing a top spot for proof-of-reserves transparency. The Seychelles-based exchange earned a score of 96.7 out of 100 through its monthly reserve reporting framework, which allows users to verify balances via Merkle-tree inclusion tools and third-party attestations.
KuCoin has published over 39 consecutive monthly reserve reports, with the most recent dated February 6, 2026. All disclosed reserve ratios exceeded 100%. The exchange outranked Binance, Coinbase, and other major players in the metric, which has become crucial for exchange solvency since FTX's collapse.
Bybit placed second with a score of 93.2, backed by regular disclosures and Hacken attestations. Kraken landed in the A tier but scored lower due to its quarterly reporting cycle. Binance received 75.2, reflecting broad wallet disclosures but no full independent audit of its entire balance sheet.
