Kylie Jenner's X Account Hacked to Promote Memecoin kylie

Kylie Jenner's X account was hacked on August 24, posting a Pump.fun page and a Solana contract address for a token called kylie. The posts were deleted within minutes, causing the token's market cap to plummet from $1.2 million to below $120,000.

This is not the first time this playbook has been used: there have been four documented cases in roughly two years of a verified account being taken over to promote a memecoin, with similar results.

The kylie token has since stabilized, trading around a $245,000 market cap with more than 3,600 holders and about $6.3 million in trading volume in the following 24 hours.
