Kyrgyzstan Central Bank Taps Certik for CBDC Security and Oversight
The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has partnered with blockchain security firm Certik to enhance security and regulatory oversight for its proposed Digital Som central bank digital currency.
Under a memorandum of understanding, the two entities will collaborate on cybersecurity, digital asset custody, anti-money laundering controls, and counter-financing of terrorism measures.
The agreement focuses on integrating technical security and formal verification measures during the infrastructure design stage rather than post-deployment, said Ronghui Gu, co-founder and CEO of Certik. 'Digital asset infrastructure requires security and risk management to be considered from the earliest stages of design through ongoing operation.'
