Kyrgyzstan Tightens Crypto Oversight Amid Sanctions Risks
Kyrgyzstan is increasing its oversight of the crypto market due to sanctions risks.
The Minister of Economy and Commerce, Bakyt Sydykov, emphasized that sanctions risks for Kyrgyzstan are no longer theoretical and require constant monitoring.
Since 2022, the United States, European Union, and United Kingdom have imposed increasingly harsh sanctions on Russia, affecting companies in third countries.
As a result, more than 25 Kyrgyz companies and individuals are currently under sanctions, including three previously licensed virtual asset service providers.
