Kyrgyzstan's State-Backed Crypto Exchange Enters Voluntary Liquidation
The Coin Nomad Exchange, Kyrgyzstan's first state-owned cryptocurrency exchange, has initiated voluntary liquidation. The decision was made by its sole shareholder, the Ministry of Finance, on September 3, 2026.
Creditors have one month from the date of publication to submit their claims. The address for submissions is Bishkek, 62/2 Manas Avenue, 5th floor, East Wing, or as specified in the company's notice.
For the first half of 2026, Coin Nomad Exchange reported a net profit of 1.47 million KGS. However, its core business was loss-making, with operating expenses amounting to 1.57 million KGS. The profit came from non-operating activities, which generated 3.03 million KGS in income.
In July, Coin Nomad Exchange was fined 50,000 KGS by Finnazor for failing to submit mandatory reports on time. The company has also fallen behind on its tax and statutory payments.
