L3Harris Lands Seven-Year Defense Deal Worth Billions
L3Harris Technologies has secured a major seven-year framework agreement with the Department of War and Lockheed Martin to produce PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement propulsion systems. The contract will enable L3Harris to nearly triple production of these components.
The deal, worth billions, covers three key components: the two-pulse solid rocket motor, Attitude Control Motors, and the Lethality Enhancer. According to Ken Bedingfield, President of Missile Solutions at L3Harris, the company is already preparing its facilities and suppliers for increased production.
The agreement is expected to be finalized later this year and will use multi-year procurement authorities to lock in a long-term contract structure. To support the deal, L3Harris is investing heavily in its manufacturing footprint, constructing 60 new facilities and adding over one million square feet of manufacturing and office space across several states.
