Hunter Biden has launched a meme coin called $LAPTOP, which is meant to poke fun at his 2020 laptop controversy and President Donald Trump's cryptocurrency ventures.

The new token will debut on Coinbase's blockchain network Base on Wednesday, coinciding with President Trump's midterms convention in Dallas, Texas.

Biden has set aside 20 percent of the total supply of one billion coins over two years for individuals who lost money on President Trump's $TRUMP coin and select newsletter subscribers.

Additionally, 30 percent of the token supply will be burned if specific conditions are met, such as a Democrat winning the 2028 presidential election or Bitcoin reaching a new record high.
