The $LAPTOP coin will start trading on September 9, according to The Wall Street Journal. This is not the first time a politician has launched their own meme coin - President Donald Trump and his wife Melania have also done so. However, these coins have seen brief rallies before collapsing, with some even hitting all-time lows.
Nic Puckrin, analyst and founder of The Coin Bureau, expressed skepticism about $LAPTOP's potential for success, stating that 'the world probably doesn't need another political meme coin.' He noted that even if there is demand at launch, it doesn't make it a sustainable investment.
