$LAPTOP Meme Coin Launched by Hunter Biden with Base Ledger
Hunter Biden is launching a meme coin called $LAPTOP, which is inspired by the controversy surrounding his laptop in 2020. The laptop contained messages about his overseas business dealings and photos of him doing drugs, leading to investigations and conspiracy theories.
The meme coin will trade under the ticker $LAPTOP and use Base, a ledger built by Coinbase Global. Biden and the founders of $LAPTOP will hold 30% of the 1 billion tokens issued, but they won't be able to sell them for six months and will fully vest in two years.
A total of 20% of the supply will be sent to crypto wallets of people who lost money on Trump's $Trump meme coin, subscribers to Biden's Stubstack, and a mailing list curated by his friend Andrew Callaghan. $Trump reached a market capitalization of almost $15 billion before crashing.
