Las Vegas Authorities Find Dead New York Grandmother After Mysterious Bitcoin Texts
A New York grandmother who vanished while visiting Las Vegas has been found dead near Harry Reid International Airport. Alisa Goods, 63, was reported missing on August 10 after she failed to return from a trip to buy iron pills at a nearby CVS.
Her family had been searching for her, checking hospitals and morgues, and were initially concerned that she may have been kidnapped due to suspicious text messages sent from her phone asking for gas money and Bitcoin. However, surveillance footage reviewed by police showed Goods falling down an embankment and collapsing on August 8.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department located a woman in a drainage ditch near the airport, who was later identified as Goods. She had been pronounced dead at the scene.
