LayerZero and a16z Launch ZK Tool Akita to Defend Cryptos Against Quantum Threat
LayerZero and Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) have collaborated to develop Akita, a new zero-knowledge (ZK) tool designed to address the quantum computing threat to cryptocurrencies. ZK proofs allow for complex computations to be performed on encrypted data without revealing sensitive information.
Akita is built upon LayerZero's cross-chain interoperability platform and leverages a16z's expertise in cryptography. The new tool aims to provide a secure solution for the potential vulnerabilities that quantum computers may pose to blockchain networks and cryptocurrencies.
