LayerZero and Keeta Launch Banking Stablecoin Infrastructure Across Multiple Blockchains
LayerZero and Keeta have teamed up to create an infrastructure for institutional clients to transfer tokenized bank deposits across multiple blockchain networks. The solution, powered by Keeta Stablecoins, will enable corporate payments and liquidity management on Ethereum, Solana, Base, and the Keeta Network.
The new tokens are backed by commercial bank deposits through Bivo, a licensed U.S. fintech platform with access to the country's payment infrastructure. Unlike traditional stablecoins, these tokens represent actual bank deposits, giving the issuing entity full control over smart contracts throughout the assets' lifecycle.
The infrastructure is designed for regulated financial institutions and will allow cross-border settlements on public blockchains without relying on closed banking networks. Keeta CEO Ty Schenk believes that the future of institutional money lies in its ability to move freely across different blockchains rather than within isolated financial ecosystems.
