LayerZero Axes Support for 15 Blockchains on August 28 Deadline
LayerZero has announced that it will be ending support for 15 blockchains on August 28, 2026. This means that users who have bridged funds through Stargate to one of these chains will need to move them to a supported network before the deadline.
The affected chains include EDU Chain, Meter, Shimmer, Cyber, and several others, with some being well-known networks like Arbitrum Nova and Cronos zkEVM. LayerZero justifies the decision by citing low activity on these chains.
Users who have bridged funds to one of these chains will need to check their wallets and transaction history to determine if they are affected. Those using Stargate Pool or Stargate Hydra will need to bridge their assets to a supported chain, with LayerZero recommending pools with deeper liquidity like Ethereum and Arbitrum.
The warning is clear: failure to act before the deadline will result in losing access to funds. This serves as a reminder for users to keep their assets in self-custody and be proactive in managing their blockchain activities.
