LayerZero Secures SOC 2 Accreditation for Cross-Chain Messaging Protocol
LayerZero Labs has secured SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 accreditations for its entire infrastructure, demonstrating that its internal controls around data security, availability, and confidentiality are not just well-designed on paper but have actually held up over an extended observation period.
The SOC 2 certification is a significant achievement for LayerZero, which operates a cross-chain messaging protocol connecting more than 160 blockchains. This means that the company has proven its ability to maintain security posture consistently, making it easier for institutional investors to trust its infrastructure.
LayerZero's partnerships with heavy-hitting institutions such as Citadel Securities, DTCC, ICE, Google Cloud, and ARK Invest will likely benefit from this accreditation, which effectively removes one more objection from their due diligence checklists. The timing also aligns with LayerZero's planned launch of the Zero blockchain in February 2026.
The SOC 2 certification may indirectly boost the value of LayerZero's native token, ZRO, as increased institutional volumes flowing through its messaging layer could lead to growing economic activity feeding into ZRO's tokenomics.
